    Enterprise content and legal

Legal protection, content ownership, and usage rights for Enterprise customers.

This article covers legal indemnification, content ownership, licensing, and usage rights specific to the Freepik Enterprise plan. For a general overview of the Enterprise plan, see Enterprise overview.

    In this article

    Legal indemnification

Enterprise customers receive legal protection against third-party intellectual property claims through Freepik's indemnification provisions. This protection covers two areas:

    • Stock content library: content downloaded from Freepik's stock library is covered under the indemnification policy, as long as it is used according to the licensing terms.
    • AI-generated Output: content generated using Freepik's AI Suite under the Enterprise Master Services Agreement (MSA) is protected against third-party IP claims, as long as usage follows the agreement terms.

    Exclusions

Legal protection does not apply when:

    • You use registered trademarks or other searchable IP rights in prompts.
    • You continue using content after receiving an infringement notification.
    • You provide unauthorized Input content or use prompts you know infringe third-party rights.
    • You modify Output or combine it with third-party content in ways that create liability.
    • Claims arise from failure to exercise reasonable care or comply with applicable laws.

    Content ownership

Under the Enterprise MSA, you own all rights to the Output generated by Freepik's AI tools based on your Input. This includes AI-generated images, videos, voiceovers, and other content. You can use, modify, and commercialize your Output according to the terms of your agreement.

Freepik retains rights to the underlying AI models, but your Input and Output belong to you.

    Stock content licensing

Enterprise customers can download and use stock content (photos, vectors, illustrations, icons, videos, PSD files) under the included commercial license. Key points:

    • Perpetual license: licenses obtained via Freepik are designed to be perpetual. Once you download and use an asset under the agreed terms, your right to use it remains valid even if Freepik or its parent company ceases to exist.
    • Commercial use: stock assets can be used commercially, including for physical displays, promotional materials, and multiple locations, provided you follow the permitted use outlined in the license.
    • Mockups and displays: Freepik's assets such as store display mockups are available for commercial use across multiple locations.

For the full rules on what you can and cannot do with stock content, see Usage rights and Licenses and attribution.

    LoRA training with third-party content

Enterprise customers can train custom AI models (LoRA) using Freepik's tools. If you use third-party stock content as training data for LoRA, be aware that third-party assets have their own licensing terms that may differ from standard Freepik content.

Before using third-party content in LoRA training, review the licensing terms for that specific partnership and seek additional authorization if needed. This ensures you remain compliant with the copyright and usage limitations attached to third-party assets.

    Data privacy and AI training

Freepik does not use your Input or Output to train or fine-tune AI models. Everything you create is private by default and only accessible to your organization. This applies to both AI-generated content and any data you upload or provide as Input.
